Senior Pastor: Dr. James A. Miller

James is married to Linda McNeal Miller and blessed with two adult sons. His two grandsons are the delight of his life.

Before becoming a pastor, James was pursuing a Master’s degree in the computer field. He had been a computer programmer in the engineering department at General Dynamics in Fort Worth, Texas. Following his engineering experience, he was employed by Texas Electric Service Company as a systems analyst in the financial department. Unable to resist God’s call to ministry, James accepted the pastorate of a small church and pursued his Master’s and Doctoral degrees at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary while leading two churches.

Believing that the Word of God, the Bible, is the only reliable guide for life and the key to experiencing real joy in this life and eternity, James has devoted himself to sharing spiritual truth in a way that can be applied to daily situations individuals face.

Worship Pastor: Ricky Salvato

Ricky is passionate about worship ministry and uses his gifts to enhance worship for the congregation at the Heights. He has experience planning and creating a worship team that allows others to use their gifts to glorify the Lord. Ricky is blessed with a wife, Karissa who serves alongside him in the worship ministry, and a daughter.

Education Minister: Alexis Blair

Alexis oversees the educational ministries for kids through adults. She is passionate about equipping people to know and grow in their knowledge and love for the Lord. Before serving at the Heights, she served several years at a growing church in Florida. Alexis has a bachelor's degree in Christian Ministries & Bible and Theology.

Student Minister: Levi Horner

Levi serves as the student minister to teenagers at the Heights. He is passionate about discipling teenagers to become disciple-makers. He has previous experience interning in children and youth ministry. Levi is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Education.

Financial & Building Coordinator: Linda Russell

Linda has served at the Heights for many years, as a lay leader and on staff. Currently, she oversees the church finances and building operations. Linda is passionate about teaching, making disciples, and serving the Lord. Linda is devoted to her family and enjoys the blessing of two granddaughters.

Administrative Assistant: Vicki McCollum

Vicki provides support in the church office during the afternoons. She uses her gift of organization to keep the office running smoothly. Before joining the Heights team, she served in various administrative roles. Vicki is blessed with a husband and three adult children.

Administrative Assistant: Noelle McAden

Noelle provides support in the church office during the mornings. She uses her creativity to produce our church communications. She has prior experience in a variety of office administration roles. Noelle is blessed with a husband and two children.

Minister of Outreach & Evangelism: Buddy Helms

Buddy serves as a lay leader in our outreach ministries here at the Heights. He is passionate about evangelism and teaching others how to share their faith. Before joining the Heights, he served as a pastor for many years. Buddy is blessed with a wife who serves alongside him.

Mother's Day Out Director: Julie Shar

As a retired school teacher, Julie leads our MDO program. She is passionate about teaching and caring for children and delights in ministering to the babies and kids in our Mother's Day Out program. Julie is blessed with a husband and they enjoy the company of their 3 dogs.
